The Nike Air Max 720 OBJ Appears in “Team Orange”

The NFL’s resident sneakerhead has a new flex for 2020, with Odell Beckham Jr’s Nike Air Max 720 OBJ getting upgraded, retooled and reissued as a laceless slip-on. After an early preview of a black rendition last weekend, a second “Team Orange” edition has appeared.

The new lockdown system features a solitary medial buckle threaded with thick nylon and is tightened by oversized plastic clips on the profile. But that’s not the only tweak to the silhouette, with new overlays across the vamp where the lacestays would typically site, along with a new fabrication on the upper in place of the previously-used mesh. Here, the upper opts for a completely tonal look, sandwiched between the bold blacks of the tongue, liner and sole unit. The pairs is capped off by a myriad of markings, including OBJ’s logo on the tongues and insoles, embossed Swoosh and Air Max hits at the heel, and a shout out to LSU on the tongues.
