Currently enjoying a resurgence of sorts, the hybridized Penny 5 from 2012 has returned to retailers once again in 2020 — again in another brand new colorway.

Arriving in an animalistic make, the monochrome release sees a predominately black make that’s hit with metallic silver accents throughout. Here, the black nylon, nubuck, and Foamposite upper are all murdered out, wit stark contrast arriving by-way-of metallic silver on the liner, 3M Swoosh, and tongue and heel branding. The hero f the pair is the zebra stripe midsole — or is that monochrome Tiger print in reference to Penny’s former and current status with the Memphis Tigers. Either way, it adds a wild touch to an otherwise tame arrangement — as does the subtle-yet-outspoken detail on the heel, insole, and inner tongue.
