The Nike Air Superfly Returns Throughout 2025

The Nike Air Superfly isn't amongst the brand's most iconic running products, but the silhouette delivered a compelling, performance-driven design when it debuted in 2000.

With 2025 underway, the Swoosh has announced that the sleek racing model will return throughout the year as a lifestyle option exclusive to women. The first retro to hit shelves features a Y2K-friendly 'Metallic Silver/Anthracite/Volt/Black' color scheme. Much of the perforated upper is covered in the shimmering hue of the bunch, which offers a futuristic aesthetic despite having launched 20 years ago. Other components across the upper and Cushlon sole unit keep things mostly understated, but the traction pods under the forefoot introduce bold 'Volt' flair that's emerged on modern running products like the Alphafly 3 marathon shoe.

The retro performance silhouette will return in other original colorways throughout 2025. Nike athlete Sha’Carri Richardson could potentially receive her own special pair of the Air Superfly given that she helped the Swoosh reintroduce the design.
