The bombardment of the Nike Tailwind 79′ continues with yet another colorway of the 70s era classic runner, previously announced recently were the OG and “Michigan” additions. This latest to the Tailwind’s catalog – featuring the unmistakable Waffle sole – is adorned in a blue-green color dubbed “Aurora Green”.
As seen on previous releases the upper is composed of an array of materials, including a new mesh weave, along with classic leather, suede, and nylon that maintains its iconic retro appeal. The aforementioned “Aurora Green” saturates the mesh upper that lays the foundation for light blue nubuck overlays located on the toebox, lace stays, and heel. At the shoes bedrock lays an all-white midsole framed by a classic Waffle black rubber outer sole, finishing off the look is a white fat-bellied Swoosh and retro branding on the tongue and heel.
