Georgetown has been at the forefront of Nike, Inc’s footwear rollout in 2022, with everything from the Air Jordan 6to the Air Force 1 — and even the original Nike Terminator — donning the Hoyas hues. Now another is on the horizon, with first and official looks at a college-influenced Nike Cortez “Georgetown” appearing as part of the silhouette’s belated 50th-anniversary bash.
Clad predominately in plush grey suede, the pair are quickly countered by bright whites and classic navy hits to cement the Hoyas theme. Then, buying into the brand’s penchant for vintage aesthetics, the Swoosh has deployed old-school nylon tongues and tinted laces to match, along with retro Nike branding in the back.
Though a release date for this new Nike Cortez “Georgetown” has not yet been revealed, the appearance of official imagery for the pair would indicate that a release is happening soon.
