The Nike Kobe 3 continues its resurgence, with plans to bring back the original “Orca” colorway in Fall 2026 confirmed by Sneaker Files.
Initially released in 2008, the sleek black-and-white design remains one of the most recognizable from the Kobe line, marking a return to one of the model’s earliest and most distinct looks.
The nickname “Orca” comes from its bold contrast of black and white tones, a nod to the whale that inspired its name. This upcoming Kobe 3 Protro “Orca” will maintain its familiar appearance with a black grid-like overlay, mesh base, and crisp white Swoosh branding along the sides. Touches of Canyon Gold and Varsity Purple add subtle contrast across the Kobe shield tongue logo, heel branding, and internal detailing, staying true to the OG makeup. The pair rests atop a black rubber outsole and features a visible carbon fiber plate underfoot for added performance stability.
The release follows a series of recent Kobe 3 retros expected throughout 2025, with Nike continuing to expand its Protro lineup under the revitalized Kobe Brand banner.
Expect the Nike Kobe 3 Protro “Orca” to release in Fall 2026 through select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com for $210.
