Kyrie Irving has had a fairly tumultuous start to the season — and he’s yet to even hit the NBA hardwood. One thing that will, though — and likely before he does — will be his eighth signature Nike sneaker, the next of which appears as part of the company’s annual N7 endeavors.

Regardless of how Kyrie feels about his newest signature shoe, the N7 initiative is something that is important to Kyrie, as his late mother Elizabeth was a descendent of the Standing Rock Sioux. Nike’s focus is on getting youth in Native American and Indigenous communities in North America more active, so they can lead healthier, happier, and more successful lives. Since its creation in 2009, the Nike N7 Fund has awarded more than $8 million in grants, administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America, to more than 270 communities and organizations. And whilst we normally see Nike’s N7 releases touch down in Native American Heritage Month (November) this year has certainly presented logistical challenges. Nonetheless, the pairs are on the way, and it will once again be headlined by Kyrie Irving’s offering.

Featuring a largely monochromatic tan upper present of both leather and textile, this year’s special edition honors his own Standing Rock Sioux tribe and calls out the hoopster’s Lakota name of Hela. The signature Nike N7 logo appears on both the insoles and heel in yellow and teal, with the pair is completed by a seasonal white mid and light gum rubber outsole.

A release date for the Nike Kyrie 8 “N7” has not yet been set, but with official imagery for the pair available now, you should expect to see a release in the near future. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates. Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.
