Target is the latest institution to join the ongoing 30th anniversary celebration of Pokémon.
The U.S.-based retailer joins the likes of McDonald's, LEGO®, and adidas in prepping special-edition product inspired by the world of Pocket Monsters. As a company that produces everything from apparel and accessories to home goods, Target's commemorative collection for Pokémon consists of graphic t-shirts, colorful tote bags, a computer keyboard, water bottles, and more.
One standout item already praised by netizens is a Kanto Region jacket made in collaboration with Starter. The blue, yellow, and red pullover jacket features Poké Ball emblems and embroidered editions of respective gym badges underneath the front flap.
The Target-exclusive collection debuts in stores on Saturday, May 2, before arriving to Target.com on Sunday, May 3. A second Pokémon x Target drop takes place on Sturday, June 6, more than 40 products. Some highlights include:
- Life-sized 151-piece puzzles designed at Pokédex-accurate heights and a clever nod to the original 151 Pokémon discovered in the Kanto region (from Pikachu to Charizard)
- New Pokémon Starter Jackets featuring Johto Region and Hoenn Region-inspired colorways (online only)
- Pokédex-inspired graphic tees with hidden inside-shirt graphics and nostalgic references
- Water-resistant Dive Ball speakers, Snorlax and Poké Ball towels, and other Water-type-inspired summer accessories
Guests are limited to one unit per item, online and in stores. On Sunday, June 7, fans will have an opportunity to pre-order a second wave of all three Starter Jackets for delivery later in 2026.
