Converse SHAI 001 Colorways So Far

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s first signature sneaker has quickly become one of basketball’s most recognizable new silhouettes — and now, fresh off back-to-back NBA MVP awards, the Converse SHAI 001 continues to build on an already impressive debut run.

First unveiled during NBA All-Star Weekend last year, the Converse SHAI 001 has remained on Shai’s feet throughout his back-to-back MVP campaign. The model’s futuristic zippered upper, sculpted sidewalls, and minimal branding immediately separated it from the crowded performance basketball market, leaning heavily into Shai’s fashion-forward identity both on and off the court.

Since then, Converse has steadily released a wide range of colorways. With colorways such as the tonal “Ink” and “Steel” pairs, while “Charm Black,” “Ares Gray,” and “Clean Slate” maintain the sleek monochromatic aesthetic that defined much of the shoe’s first run.

The Converse SHAI 001 explored more fresh finishes through pairs like the camouflage-covered “Echo,” the soft pink “Blush” edition, and the icy “Masi Blue” release. Earth-toned offerings such as “Hail Clay,” “Butter,” and the suede-covered “Truffle” further showcased the silhouette’s versatility beyond the hardwood.

One of the more eye-catching drops so far has been the festive “Winter Red” pair, which introduced green zipper detailing against an all-red upper for one of the line’s cleanest looks to date.

With the entire first wave of Converse SHAI 001 colorways now available, attention will soon begin shifting toward what Converse and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have planned next. But while we wait for the eventual debut of the Converse SHAI 002, the SHAI 001 has already cemented itself as one of the defining signature silhouettes of Shai’s MVP era.
