As we approach the monumental 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan brand in 2025, the footwear scene is already obsessing over the announced re-releases and fresh collaborations. This significant milestone will see the return of cherished original colorways, the introduction of reimagined classics, and several new-to-line colorways, which all combine for a colossal year ahead.

    Iconic Re-releases:

Jordan Brand is set to return several beloved models in their original glory, including the Air Jordan 1 "Bred," the shoe that started it all, returning in its classic form. The Air Jordan 4 "White Cement," a staple in any sneakerhead’s collection, known for its striking design, and the Air Jordan 5 "Grape," returning with its vibrant and distinctive color palette, are also making a comeback. Fans can also look forward to the Air Jordan 8 "Aqua," famously worn by MJ during the 1993 All-Star Game, and the timeless aesthetics of the Air Jordan 9 "Cool Grey," the Air Jordan 10 "Steel," and the iconic Air Jordan 12 "Flu Game" amongst many others.

    Reimagined Favorites:

2025 will also feature creative takes on classic silhouettes, such as the "UNC Reimagined" Air Jordan 1 High OG, a fresh twist on the University of North Carolina colors, and the Air Jordan 5 "Black Metallic Reimagined," a 3M-trimmed version of the original.

    Returning Icons:

The Air Jordan 3 "Black Cat" and Air Jordan 14 "Ferrari" are back, and so is the Air Jordan 12 "Melo" — each revered in their own right.

    Collaborative Highlights:

The year will also be marked by several high-profile collaborations, including the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4, the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 6, and the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low — the latter now confirmed to be canceled. Nike SB will also return with not one but two colorways of their Air Jordan 4 collaboration.

    The Return of a Legend:

The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4, one of the rarest Jordans ever made, will make a triumphant return.

As we celebrate four decades of groundbreaking designs and unforgettable moments, the 2025 lineup honors the past and sets the stage for the future of the Air Jordan legacy.
