April Sneaker Releases: What’s Dropping This Month?

April is shaping up as a busy month across the sneaker calendar, with a mix of headline collaborations, performance drops, and returning retros. Coming off Air Max Month, we’ll see a noticeable shift in focus, though key Air Max models — especially the Nike Air Max 95 — are still expected to appear throughout the month in a more limited fashion. From Nike to adidas, PUMA to New Balance, and Jordan Brand to Converse, brands continue to balance new innovation with familiar silhouettes, offering a wide spread of Sneaker Releases across lifestyle and sport. As always, broader Release Dates will continue to evolve throughout the month, with updates reflected across our real-time Sneaker Release Dates calendar.

    Top-Line Collaborations

The month opens with a strong run of collaborations across multiple brands. The Virgil Abloh Archive™ x Air Jordan 1 High OG "Alaska" is set for April 4, further extending the legacy of Off-White within Nike and Jordan Brand’s ecosystem. Just days prior, fragment's take on the all-new Nike Air Liquid Max on April 3.

Elsewhere, PUMA’s Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collection, including the Pikachu All-Pro Nitro, lands on April 1, while Rich Paul’s Klutch Athletics partners with New Balance for the AC Runner on April 2. Nike also looks to expand its skate crossover with the expected arrival of a Nike SB Air Force 1 Low, adding another layer to the Nike Air Force 1 lineup this month.

Additional drops include Melitta Baumeister’s Nike Pegasus Premiums on April 8 and a wider Nike Running collection from Renegade Running on April 1. Over at adidas, Pharrell’s VIRGINIA Vario “Flat Earther” Shoe debuts April 4, while Y-3 revisits its adidas collaborative archive with the +F50 Tunit Beast Pack, alongside the HELLSTAR x adidas Superstar and the Marathon x adidas Harden Vol. 10 — a release that honors the late Nipsey Hussle.

    Performance and Recovery

Performance product remains a key focus through April, with multiple Release Dates tied to new tech and athlete-driven models. Nike’s Mind 001 series continues to expand with new gradient-based colorways arriving throughout the month. On the hardwood, Ja Morant’s Jurassic Park collaboration is scheduled for April 10, joined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s camo Converse signature and the Nike LeBron 23 "Good Intentions," both expected to release during the month.

Nike Basketball also brings back a familiar model with the return of the Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 OT in “Black.” Also joining the schedule is the Air Jordan 4028 “Black Gold,” expected to release on April 24, adding to a growing list of Retro-inspired performance footwear. Across brands, April’s Sneaker Release Dates reflect a steady mix of innovation and heritage.

    Athleisure and Lifestyle

Away from performance, a large portion of April’s releases falls under an athleisure and lifestyle banner, reflecting the continued shift toward everyday wear. New Balance leads here with the debut of its new 5030 model, alongside an exclusive “Warm Skies” pack that leans into softer seasonal tones. The brand will also roll out its DMV-themed pack of 993s, featuring regionally inspired pairs for Baltimore and Washington D.C.

Nike, meanwhile, continues to build out its lifestyle offerings with a trio of patent leather Air Force 1s, joined by a new “Heat Map” colorway and the return of the Roses Air Force 1 Low to kick off the first third of the month, as well as a trio of colorful patent leather pairs.

    Retro Favorites Return

April also delivers a strong lineup of retros, with multiple Air Jordan Release Dates anchoring the month. Leading the charge is the Kobe 11 Elite "Fade to Black" and "Mamba Day" expected to return on April 13 to mark the 10th anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game.

Jordan Brand adds further depth with the Nike Air-branded Air Jordan 5 "White Metallic," the Air Jordan 11 Low "University Blue," and the Women’s Air Jordan 3 "Orange Citrus." The Air Jordan 1 High OG "Flight Club" also joins the schedule, reinforcing the continued rotation of the Air Jordan 1 alongside key Retro drops.

Further additions include the Air Jordan 6 "Cap and Gown," which brings back its all-black formal look, and the Women’s Air Jordan 4 "Iced Carmine." Together with additional Air Jordan 3 releases, these pairs continue to build out a consistent Retro cadence across the month. Across all Release Dates, the balance between Air Jordan 5, Air Jordan 11, Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, and Air Jordan 6 ensures a broad mix of familiar options.
