Sitting between the late-summer rush and the holiday season, it has often served as a reset before brands load up for the final quarter. But in 2026, that idea is completely out the window. This September is absolutely loaded, with major collaborations, long-awaited retros, new performance debuts, and a heavy run of lifestyle releases spread across Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, Crocs, New Balance, Converse, Vans, UGG, and more.
The month gets off to a wild start, with several major collaborations front-loaded for September 1. adidas Originals leads with its Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collection via select retailers with a wider drop on September 22, while Nike taps into football culture with its NFL x Nike Air Max 90 "Rivalries" collection. adidas also has JENNIE’s Superstar Ballet Pack lined up, while Crocs joins the early-month madness with its Yu-Gi-Oh! collaboration expected, but could be delayed.
For a month that usually eases in, September 2026 is wasting no time.
The Pokémon universe began on February 27, 1996, and has since grown into one of the world’s most recognizable franchises, spanning video games, animation, trading cards, events, and more.

Toward the end of the month, Bad Bunny’s adidas BadBo 1.0 “Night Navy” is also expected to join the lineup, adding yet another big-name project to an already crowded slate.
And just like that Disney & Pixar's Cars is 20 years old. To celebrate the occasion, The Walt Disney Company is teaming up with Crocs on special-editions of the ever-popular (and divisive) Classic Clog.
